Greybear is custom-designed and constructed of hand-scribed Engelman spruce pine from British Colombia, Canada. It was built for year-round use in 2005 by the reknown log home specialists Beaver Creek Log Homes. The detached two-car garage and wood store was added in 2007.
The layout of Greybear is intended to be versatile. The house can easily accommodate up to 10 people, depending upon room configuration. In terms of square footage, it consists of approximately 3,300 sq.feet of living area and 875 sq. feet of porch area. The septic tank sewerage sytem meets state regulations for 3+ bedrooms.
